Choa Chu Kang Stadium, Monday, April 18, 2011 — Yang Jieren of Victoria Junior College jumped a distance of 13.38m to take gold in the A Division Boys’ Triple Jump event at the 52nd National Inter-School Track and Field Championships. This was an improvement from his attempt last year where he placed 6th after a jump of 12.86m.
Hwa Chong Institution’s Ang Jia Ming had a jump distance of 13.30m to give him the silver. Despite it being short of last year’s attempt at 13.43m, it was still enough to give him a credible position this year. Syafiq Poh B Shahabidin of Raffles Institution completed the trio with a jump distance of 13.30m, an improvement from his fourth place finish last year by 0.06m.
