Singapore Basketball Centre, Wednesday, June 22, 2011 — Tong Whye’s U19 boys team remained unbeaten in the U19 Junior Basketball Championship when they cruised to an 86-53 win over Min Yi.

Tong Whye utilised their superior height and size to good effect, jumping to a 19-9 first-quarter lead through strong inside play. They never looked back after that, increasing their lead after every quarter to win eventually by 33 points.

In another game, Tagawa’s U19 boys team snuffed out the early challenge of their opponents, T-Net@Bukit Merah, with a 41-18 first half lead.

Though Tagawa did ease their foot off the pedal in the second half, T-Net@Bukit Merah failed to come close in challenging for the game.

Tagawa eventually won the game easily 71-37.
