The Singapore LionsXII will face defending champions Kelantan in their opening fixture of the Malaysia Super League (MSL). The game is scheduled for January 10th at the Jalan Besar Stadium.
Kelantan were also winners of the 2010 Malaysia Cup after missing out on that trophy for 89 years.
Singapore will then travel away to the Darulaman Stadium in Alor Star to face Kedah. Kedah won two trebles — MSL , FA Cup and Malaysia Cup — in 2007 and 2008.
The third match for Singapore is against Kuala Lumpur.
Only three matches of the MSL have been revealed so far because the organisers, the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM), have not finalised the stadiums that can host night matches. Malaysian stadiums are struggling to meet new minimum lighting standards for television broadcasts.
FAM will publish the full MSL fixtures list on December 21st.
