Clementi Sports Hall, Tuesday, February 28, 2012 – Nanyang Girls’ High beat Kranji Secondary 76-46 in a West Zone B Division Basketball Championship semi-final.

Nanyang led 23-6 just after the first 10 minutes but the second quarter was much closer, as Nanyang narrowly outscored Kranji 11-9 to take a 34-15 lead at half time.

While Kranji put up a fight in the second half, they could not overcome the widening disparity in points and prevent Nanyang’s victory.

Chu Yin, the Nanyang Girls’ team captain, said modestly: “I think we did okay. Hopefully we’ll improve on our defence techniques the next time.”
