Choa Chu Kang Stadium, Tuesday, April 3, 2012 — Carmel Teo, 16, of Henderson Secondary cleared a height of 3.32 metres to win the Open Pole Vault at the 53rd National Schools Track and Field Championships.
Carmel, who was the only person to clear 3m in the event, was also the only athlete from Henderson taking part in the Championships.
Chang An Zi of Singapore Sports School was second with a 2.90 effort while Tong Ray Nee of Hwa Chong Institution was third with 2.90.
Tan Ying Lin of Cedar Girls’ Secondary matched the 2.70 effort of Raffles Institution’s Leong Wen Jun but lost out on fourth place on a countback.
