Choa Chu Kang Stadium, Tuesday, April 10, 2012 — Lynette Goh of Hwa Chong Institution won the A Division Girls’ 100m final in 12.72 seconds at the 53rd National Schools Track and Field Championships.
The electronically-timed championship record is 12.37 and was set by Tan Shieh Li, then of Anglo-Chinese Junior College, in 1999. The hand-timed championship record of 12.20 was set by Prema Govindan, then of Ang Mo Kio Secondary, in 1985.
Rachel Koh of Raffles Institution was second in 12.97 while Maria Lee of National Junior College (NJC) was third in 13.21.
Maria podium finish saw her win NJC’s only medal at the championships.
