Singapore Sports School, Wednesday, April 24, 2013 — Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) won the C Division boys’ 4×50 metres medley relay final in a time of 1 minute 49.79 seconds at the 54th National Schools Swimming Championships. That broke the previous record of 1:52.49 set by their seniors in 2009.

The ACS(I) relay team was made up of Francis Fong, Brilliant Chua, Dylan Koo and Darren Chua. The dominant quartet each clocked the fastest split times in the five-team final. They also finished the meet with two individual and two relay gold medals each while breaking nine individual meet records collectively.

Dylan commented: “It feels ecstatic.”

Francis added: “We are very grateful to our coaches, principal, family and friends for supporting us through our trainings.”

Raffles Institution claimed silver in 1:55.78 while Singapore Sports School took home bronze in 1:58.23.
