Clementi Sports Hall, Monday, July 29, 2013 — Pioneer Secondary beat Hua Yi Secondary 42–26 in the West Zone C Division Boys’ Basketball Championship.
The win improved Pioneer to a 1–2 win-loss record. It was their first win in Round 2 after going down 33–51 to Jurong West Secondary and 37–61 to Bukit Panjang Government High.
For Hua Yi, it was their third straight loss. In previous games, they lost by a slim three points (36–39) to Bukit Panjang and went down by 27 points (36–63) to Jurong Secondary.
Reece Low (#14) of Pioneer scored a game-high 17 points while Muhammad Irfan bin Salleh (#5) of Hua Yi scored a team-high eight points.
