Republic Polytechnic, Tuesday, May 20, 2014 — Anglo-Chinese Junior College (ACJC) defeated Nanyang Junior College (NYJC) 4–1 in the National A Division Floorball Championship.
This was ACJC’s third win and with a draw in one of their other games, they remain undefeated. For NYJC, this was their second loss and they have a 2–2 win-loss record.
ACJC took an early lead halfway through the first period with a goal from Koh Boon Yang (ACJC #17). A foul by Sieow Je Min (ACJC #18) resulted in a power play situation and Loh Yew Hui (NYJC #33) scored to end the first period with the score tied at 1 apiece.
Neither teams were able to break the tie in the second period.
ACJC came out strong in the third period. Issac Lee (#10) scored a goal to give ACJC the lead in the first few minutes. Cheng Wei Qiang (ACJC #8) and Daryl Peng (ACJC #4) each scored a goal to contribute to ACJC’s eventual 4–1 victory.
ACJC captain, Ivan Ho (#70), said, “It was a very intense game with very high tempo. Both sides stood a chance of winning.”
Issac Lee (ACJC #10) added, “I feel that we stepped up in the last period.”

Hey sorry I’m Wei Qiang from ACJC just pointing out that my name is spelled wrongly :’) should be Cheng instead of Chen thanks from ACJC #8 and I didn’t foul the player it was Sieow Je Min #18 who commited the foul THANKS 😀 for being there and for all the gd work yall have put in so far hope to see you in the semis next tuesday! 🙂
