National Stadium, Wednesday, November 26, 2014 — Defending champions Singapore hung on for a costly 4–2 victory over Myanmar in their group stage match of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup, as they lost Shahdan Sulaiman (#8) to a severe right leg injury in the first half.

Shahdan Sulaiman (#8) collided with teammate Khairul Amri (#9) while contesting for a header off a Burmese corner. He was subsequently diagnosed with a broken tibula and dislocated ankle and will be out for six months.

Hariss Harun (#14) led the home team with two goals and Shaiful Esah (#3) added one. Burmese captain Khin Maung Lwin (#5) conceded a costly own goal that sealed Singapore’s victory.
