Bukit Gombak Stadium, Tuesday, April 14, 2015 — Victoria Junior College’s (VJC) Jared Chang clinched the gold medal in the A Division boys’ 110m hurdles at the 56th National Inter-School Track and Field Championships.

Jared, who was placed fourth in last year’s B Division boys’ 110m hurdles event, was the only athlete in the final who ran under 16 seconds.

Hwa Chong Institution’s Mark Loh, who came in sixth last year, settled for silver in 16.25s, an improvement compared to 16.71s in the previous year. Third place went to Ryan Ong of VJC, who fell short of the qualifying time for the final in his B Division boys’ 110m hurdles event last year.

The record for the A Division boys’ 110m hurdles (0.991m) stands at 14.17s and belongs to Abdul Hakeem Bin Abdul Halim, then of Raffles Junior College.
