Sunday, November 15, 2015 – Chen Huifen, Premila Hirubalan, and Micky Lin were inducted into the Netball Hall of Fame at the Netball Singapore Awards Night 2015.

Launched in 2012, the Netball Hall of Fame serves to honour some of the greatest Netball athletes based on their contributions to Singapore.

With more than 38 years of combined experience for the National Team, Huifen, Micky and Premila have represented Singapore in a combined total of more than 300 international games. They were in the team that won the Asian Championships in 2014 and SEA Games in 2015.

Jessica Tan, Member of Parliament, President of Netball Singapore, said, “We have seen Huifen, Micky and Premila consistently exceeding expectations, pushing their limits and striving for, not just their personal best, but also for the team’s. These three are role-models, and a clear sign that Netball in Singapore is going moving in the right direction. With this award, we celebrate their achievements and hope to inspire many other like-minded players to follow their footsteps.”

Happening alongside the Netball Singapore Awards Night was the Lee Foundation Study Awards Night. A long-time supporter of Netball Singapore, the Lee Foundation presented a total of 83 monetary awards to members of the national age groups to assist with their 2016 school expenses. Those who have completed their studies received a gift voucher instead.
