South Zone B Div Bball: Yuying survive last quarter comeback by Holy Innocents’ High to win

OCBC Arena, Wednesday, January 27, 2016 — Yuying Secondary achieved their third victory in the season by triumphing 40-35 over Holy Innocents’ High School in the South Zone B Division Basketball Championship.

Razzif Bin Ismail (HIHS #20) had a game high of 19 points.

The first and second quarter were close, with Yuying with a slight four-point, 18-14 lead at half time.

In the third quarter, Yuying gained momentum and made shots with greater accuracy. This helped them to outscore Holy Innocents’ High 12-6 to lead by 10 points (30-20) heading into the fourth quarter.

Holy Innocents’ High made an aggressive comeback in the fourth quarter and managed to tie the game at 30-30 with three minutes left on the clock through a 3-pointer from Razzif (HIHS #20).

However, Yuying replied with a few baskets to pull away to 37-30 before sealing the 40-35 win.
