Chung Cheng High (Main), Wednesday, April 8, 2009 – The Meridian Junior College wushu girls clinched the A Division title, beating out defending champions Victoria Junior College.
Based on their performances in the individual events, they managed to clinch a total of 74 points in the medal tally while VJC only managed 52 points.
Thus, even if the MJC girls did not managed to bag any medals in the team events and VJC managed to clinch the two gold medals in the team event, VJC can only accumulate a maximum of 70 points.
i agree with wiwi
to master ooguay…
hmm~ i heard tat the athelete injured her knee and tat’s y shhe couldn’t do her qian shao… but i feel tat other than her qian shao, her poses were certainly quite sharp and if she was ablt to do her qian shao properly, she could have gotten 2nd… wat a waste
This years interschool was really one interesting battle. There were many athletes who shone and competition was indeed tough this year.
The A and B boys were one of the most exciting divisions and the final scores were close.
Indeed, schools like HC are now strong against VJ (2nd) and MJ (3rd). It was a job well done to HC boys who fought hard. As for the grils, MJ did indeed beat schools like VJ and AJ. But could it have been a fair competition when, correct me if im wrong, MJ clinched a bronze in the changquan event when their athlete did a qian sao standing up? Can the girls really be proud of their victory?
Nevertheless, school sprit in HC and VJ were evident during the finals, where shouts of cheers and school songs filled CCHMS. And maybe this is what competitions are all about these days.
A job well done to all competitors =)
