Wednesday, April 14, 2009 – OCBC Bank will return as the title sponsor for the 2010 edition of Cycle Singapore.

5,400 riders took part in this year’s event in February and the race started and finished at the F1 Pit Building. 60 professional cyclists took part in the Elite (professional) Criterium which was won by David Pell of Australia.

“Bringing children and parents together in family activities is consistent with our family-oriented business proposition,” said David Conner, chief executive officer of OCBC Bank.

“Even though the global economic outlook remains uncertain, we believe that it is our corporate responsibility to give back to the community by continuing our commitment to OCBC Cycle Singapore. This is definitely an event we will continue to support,” he added.

The date and details of the 2010 event will be announced in the coming months.
