Hi someone (and everyone who is against the shot of the girl in tears),
Photography is often up to subjective interpretation. But I’m sure readers don’t have a head of steel either to interpret her tears as anything negative like “a cry baby” in case that is your concern.
Precisely because players do not have a heart of steel so emotions will run free when defeat is tasted. Photos capturing tears remind readers of how as tough as athletes are, they are just as human too.
I read in the news recently that RGS girls are stereotyped to be “strong-minded and fiery” (I quote the news), this photo comforts me knowing this RG girl has the courage to let her tears to run : )
crying is part of the game. It truly shows the spirit of the RG girls, how important the game was to them, and the amount of effort they had put in.
Would you mind if there’s a website read by so many ppl in Singapore and even some overseas watching pictures of you cry? You may have a heart of steel, but I believe the players don’t.
This game had some bad refereeing.
like really realll really unfair.
When you can’t get a certain shot, won’t you move closer.
Maybe she wanted to take another photo of something nearby too, don’t you think.
Cryings not a bad thing, why did it suddenly become a sensitive topic hmmmmm think about it.
hey, i was there, and the redsports reporter tried to get even closer until other RGS players went forward to block them. maybe redsports should not post if the players are not happy about it.
Well said YZ.
This is not a school newsletter where only nice things get printed. There is winning and there is losing and both get captured as part of the story.
I don’t see the point of ppl uploading a picture of RGS players crying.
Totally agree with screws, why can’t the photographer try to show how much the match meant to RGS. The players cried so hard when they lost, which show that they hold this match in high regard.
The photographer is just trying to show that,
Now would you mind defining humanity, because I think crying is a display of humanity in the emotional context don’t you agree?
Have a good day 🙂
What kind of a reporter is that? A GREAT ONE!
The purpose of this report, or any other for that matter, is to capture the moments and emotions of the game. The blood, sweat and tears. What’s wrong with a closer picture?
The fact of the matter is that she is sad after the heart-breaking lost. She cries. We capture it.
Dunman won the match and are happy. They cheer. We capture it.
oops. end of 3 quarter. sorry error on my part
wrong again. dunman lead 30-29 at halftime
REDSPORTS. WHAT’S UP WITH YOUR REPORTER. HOW CAN YOU POST PICTURES OF SAD PLAYERS? AND SO ZOOMED. I WAS THERE. YOUR REPORTER TRIED TO MOVE CLOSER AND CLOSER, WHAT KIND OF REPORTER IS THAT. PLEASE, DO HAVE SOME HUMANITY.
ur facts r wrong. rgs led 29-15 at the half
i’m sure redsports upload picture of RGS players crying that is so wrong.
