Anglo-Chinese School (Independent), Monday, March 17, 2008 – Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) beat Raffles Institution 8-4 in an eagerly anticipated B Division water polo match.
As the Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) and Raffles Institution Water Polo teams entered the pool, much was at stake. Whichever team lost would almost definitely miss the chance to get into the final.
The game started with much spice, with Raffles taking control of the game. After some fantastic play, the score was 2-1 at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, things looked dire for ACS (I), as their star player and captain, Chiam Kun Yang, was sent off from the match.
But eventually, the team picked itself up. With the help of centerman Andie Hartanto and goalkeeper Teo Wei Yang, they put themselves back on the board, and finally emerged victorious with an 8-4 win over Raffles. Andie scored 4 of the team's 8 goals and Wei Yang made tremendous saves despite the higher shot count from RI.
Said Andie, whose 3 of 4 goals were backshots, "We've never won against Raffles before, so this is indeed a great experience."
Ed’s note: If anyone can give us details of this match (what division, location etc), please do feel free to leave it in the comments section. Thanks!

Eh John dun so ego u lose i really laugh at you
1 up in goal difference compared to HCI. We got REALLY lucky
ACS(I) goal diff is +2 beacuse they won Ri 8-4 and lost to hwa chong 6-4.In this case, acs(i) scores 12 goals and lets in 10.
HCI goal diff is +1 beacuse they won ACS(i) 6-4 and lost to Ri 6-5.In this case, HCI scores 11 goals and lets in 10.
RI goal diff is -3 beacuse they lost to acs(i) 8-4 and won HCI 6-5.In this case, RI scores 10 goals and lets in 13.
REMEMBER: The head to head goal difference is compared within this 3 schools because each of these 3 schools has 2 losses each and beacuse acs(i
i) has the best goal difference, they get into the finals.

hi les and team.. C div finals this fri 28th march.
acsi beat ri 8-4 in an upset they eventually lost to hci 6-4 and acs barker 14-3 but due to the rules, acsi will enter the finals based on Head to Head goal difference among the three schools ri, hci and acsi (assuming acsi and ri win their remaining match for which both are clear favourites). ri beat hci 6-5 and have the best goal difference against acs barker who have won a confirmed spot in the finals.
