The national team career of striker Indra Sahdan Daud seems to be over.

He was reportedly injured and couldn't start the match for Sengkang Punggol in their 0-1 defeat to Singapore Armed Forces Football Club (SAFFC) on Friday, October 16th. He came on as a second half substitute with about 15 minutes left.

An FAS statement issued two days earlier on October 14th stated that Indra was out injured, along with Shi Jiayi, and that both would not feature in the national squad for an international tournament in Vietnam.

The national football team, currently in Vietnam, is using the tournament as a tune-up for the Asian Cup qualifiers next month against Thailand.

The Lions are slated to play a Korean university team, the Turkmenistan national side and the Vietnamese national side.

However, on the same day of the statement announcing the national squad, Wednesday, October 14th, Indra led Nanyang Polytechnic to their first victory of the 2009 POL-ITE Football Championship. Indra scored two goals in the first half while playing the full 90 minutes of football in NYP's 2-1 victory over Institute of Technical Education.

So is he injured or dropped? Or both?

Indra has played 98 times for Singapore and has 24 goals to his name. He made his debut for Singapore against Kuwait on April 26, 1997, at 18 years of age.
