Clementi Sports Hall, Friday, March 26, 2010 – Unity Secondary justified their tag as the favourites by cruising to an 86-35 win over Dunman High in their opening game of the National B Division Boys Basketball Championship.

Dunman High simply had no answer to the height and skill of the Unity players as well as the depth of the Unity bench.

Opening the game with a line-up devoid of national youth players Peter and David Soo, Unity nevertheless displayed their strength in depth by establishing a 19-10 first quarter lead.

The West Zone champions subsequently never showed any sign of giving up their grip on the game despite a frequent rotation of players by their coach.

In the end, a 50-point winning margin was enough to secure their first step towards the quarter-finals.

They will next face Yuying Secondary who lost to Yishun Secondary in another group game.
