Mannas fight back in final quarter to upset Marlins in Netball Super League

The Mighty Mannas put up a spectacular performance in the final minutes to overcome a six-point deficit to upset the Nike Marlins 35-34 in the Netball Super League.

Marlins trailed 7-12 at the end of first quarter, but they surprised the Mannas in the second quarter by dominating it 14-5 to gain a 21-17 lead. Marlins further extended the lead to six points in the third quarter.

Entering the last quarter 30-24, Marlins failed to hold off Mannas, as yet another victory slipped through their hands.

With the victory, Mannas now lead the table with 14 points.

In other matches, Bedok Kings Vipers and M1 Sunfish continued to struggle. Magic Dolphins and adidas Sneakers Stingrays handed Vipers two defeats, 31-45 and 29-39 respectively, while M1 Sunfish encountered Stingrays over the weekend. M1 Sunfish lost the game to the Stingrays 52-55.
