As he crossed the finish line, Jonathan yelled, "Finally!" When asked later what he was referring to, Jonathan said, "I had lost the 5,000m race to Ng Weiwen of RJC and so I felt pressure to redeem myself in this race." With a personal best of 4:17 in the 5,000m, Jonathan also won the 3,000m and finished second in the 1,500m in last year’s championships.
