On their first day of the championships, the sailors were presented with a five to ten knot breeze to manipulate to the fullest.

Youth Olympics gold medalist Bernie Chin won the Laser Radial category with a total of 17 points over ten races and a medal race.

ELisa Yukie Yokoyama (helm) and Samantha Annabelle Neubronner (crew) bagged the silver with 10 points. Loh Jia Yi (helm) and Matthew Scott Lau (crew) had to settle for bronze with 19 points.

The 2nd Fish & Co. Youth Sailing Championships attracted four Finnish, five Thai, nine Korean, 15 Hong Kongers and 23 Malaysian sailors to give locals a taste of foreign competition.
