Come Play Play is a sports meet open to all youths in Singapore organised by HIGHER, the youth arm of non-profit organisation City Harvest Church Services Association (CHCSA). HIGHER aims to bring youths from all walks of life together.
Raffles Institution (RI) survived a late gutsy fightback from St. Andrew's Junior College (SAJC) to edge past their traditional rivals 17-15 and book their place in the final of the National A Division Rugby Championship. Raffles were headed for a flattering 17-5 win with only 10 minutes to go, before two unconverted Saints tries saw the boys in green-black-white having to hang on precariously in the dying seconds.

In a matter of two days, Elizabeth-Ann Tan of Nanyang Girls' High School wiped out two championship records under National Stadium floodlights, clinching golds in both the 100-metre hurdles and 100m sprint finals. In his first year competing in the century sprint, Zeen Chia of Hwa Chong Institution (HCI) came out tops in the B Division boys' 100 metres final to emerge the surprise victor. The Secondary 4 student -- whose pet event is the long jump -- was previously also a racewalker during his time in the C Division, and only started doing specific sprints training five months ago.
Raffles Institution (RI)'s Valencia Ho secured her third sprint hurdles title at the annual National Schools Track and Field Championships when she crossed the finish line first in the A Division girls' 100-metre hurdles final, stopping the clock at a personal best 15.25 seconds. It adds to the B Division gold she won in the event last year and her C Division 80m hurdles win in 2015. Between those, the former Nanyang Girls' High School (NYGH) athlete still earned silvers losing to teammate and record-setter Elizabeth-Ann Tan in the C girls' race in 2016, and to Singapore Sports School (SSP) alumna Rachel Chin in the 2017 B Division final.
Raffles Institution duo Matz Chan and Jered Wong earned a 1-2 finish in both the A Division boys' 110m and 400m hurdles finals, with Matz clocking 15.70s and 57.25s in the respective races.
