Shaun Moh of the National University of Singapore (NUS) leapt 6.95 metres to clinch his third IVP long jump gold in three years, while his NUS teammates Brian See, Bryan Koh, Chiu Jing Wen and Maya Shanmugaratnam dominated two out of three throws events with 1-2 finishes in the men's shot put and women's javelin.

IVP Track and Field: Friendly rivalry pushes TP’s Haanee and Clara to 1-2 finish in 100m; NTU’s Khairyll conquers strong field of competitors

Temasek Polytechnic (TP) duo Haanee Hamkah and Clara Goh sprinted to a 1-2 finish in the IVP women's 100m final, finishing in 12.66s and 12.75s respectively. In the men's final, NTU's Khairyll Amri came out tops in a race of high quality, with the top four all dipping below the 11-second barrier and all eight finalists finishing under 11.3s.

AUG Athletics: Singapore contingent garners 2 golds, 4 silvers, 5 bronzes; best haul since 2010

The 11-medal haul is the best tally for a Singapore athletics team at the biennial ASEAN University Games since the 2010 edition in Thailand, where our athletes clinched one gold, two silvers and nine bronzes.

National Schools Track Relays: ACS(I), Sports School snag 4 golds each; Nanyang Girls’ dominant in B Division

Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) secured their first 4x100m relay golds in eight years after triumphing among the C and A Division boys. The two wins were among four golds that ACS(I) garnered on the final day of competition, adding to their 4x400m victories in the same divisions. Usual relay suspects Singapore Sports School also won four golds, while Nanyang Girls' High were dominant in their B Division races.

National Schools 100m (Boys): ACS(I)’s Mark Lee rises to occasion to deny Sports School sweep

Mark bagged the C Division boys' 100m gold in 11.59 seconds, while Sports School's Reuben Rainer Lee and Chong Wei Guan won the B and A Division races in 10.91s and 11.06s respectively.

IAAF World U18 Championships: Thiruben sets new national U18 mark in 400m

Thiruben Thana Rajan ran 47.91s in the 400m heats of the IAAF World U18 Championships to set a new national under-18 record, pending ratification from Singapore Athletics. The National Junior College student's time eclipsed Ng Chin Hui's old mark of 47.97s set in 2011. It also saw him rank joint-12th overall to qualify for the semi-finals, happening on July 13, 11.45pm Singapore time.
