In 2012, MGS were the overall zonal champions while Nanyang Girls' High were third.
River Valley High trailed throughout the whole game, only to snatch lead with a minute left in the last quarter and run away with the victory.
This is Bukit Panjang's second third-place finish in the West Zone. In 2012, they were fourth after a loss to Nanyang Girls' High School.
This is the first time that Netball will feature in the biennial Games since 2001.
The theme of the Games is “Celebrate the Extraordinary”, which is about connecting individuals, communities and countries to their dreams.
The last time both teams met was during the POL-ITE Netball Championship final last year where NP defeated TP 66–59.
This was the third title for NUS in the last 13 IVP seasons, while NTU have been champions nine times in the same period.
