Feng Tianwei narrowly beat Germany’s Wu Jiaduo 4-2 (11-6, 11-9, 8-11, 11-9, 4-11, 14-12) to earn a spot in the semi-finals of the 2011 Women’s Table Tennis World Cup. Compatriot Wang Yuegu however did not have as much luck as she fell to World Number One Li Xiaoxia 2-4 (12-10, 13-11, 5-11, 7-11, 7-11, 11-13) despite putting up a hard fight.
Two of Singapore’s top women paddlers have found themselves drawn together in the same group at the Women’s Table Tennis World Cup. Wang Yuegu and Li Jiawei were drawn together in Group B after the release of the draw results today.

Singapore beat Macau 3-0 (25-18, 25-15, 25-14) in their Group B preliminaries match of the Asian School Girls Volleyball Championship. Having lost to Iran 0-3 the previous night, this victory over Macau was a much needed one in order to keep their hopes of reaching the semi-finals alive.
Singapore went down to Iran 0-3 (17-25, 20-25, 20-25) in both team's opening Group B match at the Asian School Girls Volleyball Championship.
