Fairfield Methodist beat Presbyterian High to a semi-final berth as they edged out the latter 2-0 (25-14, 25-17) in their final Group Y, Round Two match of the National B Division Girls’ Volleyball Championship. Both teams were coming into the match with one win and one loss each, and it was a crucial decider as whoever won would progress.
Anderson Secondary beat Dunman Secondary 2-0 (25-15, 25-23) in their last Group Y match in Round Two of the National B Division Girls’ Volleyball Championship.
The National B Division Girls’ Championship saw its biggest casualty thus far as it saw Shuqun Secondary fail to qualify for the semi-finals as they fell to Jurong Secondary 2-1 (25-23, 18-25, 25-15) in a Group X, Round 2 match. Jurong Secondary enacted revenge for their loss to Shuqun during the West Zone final by piping their opponents to a spot in the semi-finals.
Ngee Ann Secondary edged out Cedar Girls’ 2-1 (25-20, 23-25, 25-23) to earn a spot in the semi-finals of the National B Division Girls’ Volleyball Championship. Prior to this match, both teams had had one win and one loss each, meaning that Cedar Girls’ have seen their dream run come to an end as they were sent packing after this match’s loss
Defending champions Dunman Secondary are one step closer to retaining their title after earning a spot in the semi-finals of the National B Division Girls’ Volleyball Championship. Dunman beat Fairfield Methodist 2-0 (25-17, 25-21) in their Group Y, Round Two match.
Presbyterian High came from behind to edge out Anderson 2-0 (27-25, 25-17) in their Group Y, Round Two match of the National B Division Girls’ Volleyball Championship. With this win, Presbyterian High kept their hopes alive of qualifying for the semi-finals while Anderson, with two losses, are essentially out of the competition.
