Shuqun Secondary kept their hopes of qualifying for the semi-finals alive after they edged out Ngee Ann Secondary 2-1 (27-25, 22-25, 25-17) in their Group X, Round Two match of the National B Division Girls’ Volleyball Championship.
Ngee Ann Secondary’s consistency in the match was a winning factor for the team as they beat Jurong Secondary 2-0 (25-20, 26-24) in their Round 2, Group X match of the National B Division Girls’ Volleyball Championships.
They were initially not fancied to qualify for the second round. They had also been widely expected to lose their first match in Round 2. Cedar Girls’ however proved all their naysayers wrong when they staged another upset by beating Shuqun Secondary 2-0 (25-19, 25-22) in their Group X, Round 2 match of the National B Division Girls’ Volleyball Championships.
An injury-ridden Presbyterian High team fell to Dunman Secondary 2-0 (26-24, 25-13) in their Group Y, Round 2 match of the National B Division Girls’ Volleyball Championships.
Fairfield Methodist Secondary came back from one set down to defeat Group Y opponents Anderson Secondary 2-1 (23-25, 25-15, 25-20) in Round 2 of the National B Division Girls’ Volleyball Championships.
