The battle between Victoria Junior Colege and National JC in a National A Division girls floorball game started off with much enthusiasm. From the start, nice and strong attacks were shot with no mercy. Together with the overly emotional feet of the girls, the voices of the crowd went on and on till the end where NJC finally triumphed 7-3.
Innova Junior College beat Temasek JC 4-0 in an A Division girls floorball match. Temasek JC, having lost to Raffles JC and Meridian JC previously, have effectively dropped out of their run to the championships after their latest defeat.
Singapore beat Sri Lanka 4-0 last Sunday to capture 3rd place in the 2008 Asian Hockey Federation Men's Cup. The Singapore team had qualified for the semi-finals after beating Chinese Taipei 3-0 and holding Uzbekistan and Bangladesh to draws. They finished off the preliminary round games with an 8-0 demolition of Brunei.
