East Zone boys triumph in all-star basketball playoff and Combined Schools selection shortlist

The East Zone all star boys basketball team emerged unlikely winners when they beat the South Zone all star team in the finals. The East Zone team had qualified for the finals after beating their West Zone counterparts and forcing a draw with the South Zone team in the preliminary rounds.

National U-18 trump adidas U-18 in basketball matchup

A furious fourth quarter comeback rally by the adidas Under-18 squad, led by Khaw Yeong Wooi (#10) who scored 19 of his team's 28 fourth quarter points, failed to overcome the National Under-18 team. A stronger and more balanced national team eventually won the game 79-64.

Catholic High and Raffles Girls’ win South Zone basketball titles

In a comprehensive show of attacking prowess, Catholic High blew past Queenstown Secondary 101-45 to retain the South Zone Championship title. Raffles Girls' School also did likewise with a comprehensive 82-51 win to snuff out Yuying Secondary's challenge.

Jurong and Unity emerge as West Zone basketball champions

Jurong Secondary survived a furious fourth quarter rally by New Town Secondary to record a nail biting 73-71 victory. Most Valuable Player Jonathan Lian (#8, JSS) top scored with 22 points to lead his team to a second win over their West Zone rival this year.

Queenstown and Catholic High qualify for SZ basketball final

Queenstown Secondary stunned Gan Eng Seng Secondary 65-60 to qualify for the South Zone basketball final for the first time in recent history! QueenstownÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s #4 downed an incredible 30 points, including eight 3-point shots to lead his team to a huge upset over Gan Eng Seng, the second round Group X winner.

Anglican High, Chung Cheng High (Main) to meet in East Zone final

Anglican High survived a fierce fourth quarter onslaught by Ngee Ann Secondary to march into the East Zone basketball final. Although Ngee Ann managed to outscore their more illustrious opponent 20-11 in the fourth quarter, they still ended up losing the semi-final by a close 65-70 scoreline.
