Playing host to about 500 athletes and officials, Ministers Tan Chuan-Jin and Lawrence Wong held an Istana Garden Party to celebrate Team Singapore's record-breaking achievements at the recently concluded 28th SEA Games.
Audrey Ong (#9) led Edgefield with a game-high 13 points, while Naval Base had an eight-point effort from Qistine Tan (#4).
Jamie (#15) led North Vista with a game-high 15 points, while teammate Lydia (#8) contributed 13 points. Yishun Town had a 13-point effort from Xie Mu Qi (#11).
Yishun were led by Lee Jia Ying (#12), who had a game-high 12 points, while Cheryl (#9) led Nan Chiau with 9 points.
Northbrooks were led by Tan Ching (#12), who had a game-high 12 points, while Fuchun's Rachel Boo (#9) scored the only points for her team in the third quarter.
A penalty by Morgan Owain Rhys (#10) was all it took to help the Saints overcome closest rivals ACS(I), sending a clear message to the defending champions that they were not the same team from previous season.
Javille Goh (#13) led RI with two tries, both of which came in the first half. Despite the loss, Ryan Galistan (#13), who is only in his first year at ACS, stood out from the field as he anchored the comeback attempt with his nifty footwork and impressive runs.
Marilyn Yap (#8) and Chang Waichain (#5) paced Ahmad Ibrahim with 10 and eight points respectively, while Chiew Sheng Xuan (#6) led Christ Church with a team-high six points.
