Come July this year, the Firefly Night Race — a cycling expedition by passionate cyclists from all walks of life — will mark its second edition by covering a 270km route over 12 hours in the challenging terrain of East Malaysia, Sabah.
Organisers for the upcoming 2011 OCBC Cycle Singapore announced that a six-kilometre section of the East Coast Park (ECP) Expressway will form part of the new route.

Singaporeans Adi Puttera Bin Yusoff and Serene Lee took the lead in Category 1 Men and Category 1 Women respectively on the first day of the inaugural Tour de Bintan at Bintan, Indonesia today. Stage 1 (156km) of the Tour de Bintan started from Simpang Lagoi via the picturesque Trikora coast, Kijang and Tanjung Pinang back to Simpang Lagoi.
The OCBC Cycle Singapore will feature a professional night race for the first time. The professional Criterium will take place under floodlights along a new 1.7km route around the F1 Pit Building. The event is scheduled for March 4th to 6th, 2011.

Singapore’s only four-discipline endurance race, the SAFRA Quadthlon, continues to attract a good mix of participants each year, ranging from seasoned athletes, young sports enthusiasts, corporate employees to families. Despite a busy Sunday with at least three other sports events held on the same day, the SAFRA Quadthlon still attracted more than 400 participants.
