Dipna Lim Prasad and Valerie Pereira, both of Nanyang Technological University, pushed each other to within 15 hundredths of a second off Prema Govindan's women's national 200m record of 22.54 seconds set in 1984 at the Institute-Varsity-Polytechnic (IVP) Championships. Dipna edged Valerie by just a hundredth of a second in a time of 24.68 seconds.
With less than six weeks to go, the Singapore Marathon race routes were announced today.
Mok Ying Rong, 17, won the women's under-25 category at the Nike City 10K in a time of 36 minutes 40 seconds.
After the first day of events, the National University of Singapore (NUS) lead with 134 and 64 points in the men's and women's competitions respectively with Nanyang Technological University (NTU) trailing them in second position in both categories.
Runners can look forward to a high energy celebration of sports at the Nike City 10K Singapore, which flags off next to the Marina Bay Floating Platform this Sunday, 24th October.
Mok Ying Ren and Rachel See were the fastest Singaporeans at the NB Real Run when they clocked 52 minutes, 57 seconds and 1:09:05 respectively in the 15km open categories. Their respective categories were won by by Kenyans Silas Muturi (48:09) and Eunice Nyawira (58:47).
They have done it again. Tan Yeow Chung and Teresa Marie Soh successfully defended their titles in the Men’s Open and Women’s Open categories respectively at the SAFRA Keppel Quadthlon.
