Sembawang CSC Team 2 beat Marsiling CSC A 2-1 (15-12, 16-17, 15-12) in the Community Games sepak takraw tournament.
Chong Pang CSC A beat Nee Soon East CSC A 15-7, 15-6 in their first game of the Community Games sepak takraw tournament.
Cashew CSC Team B beat Zhenghua 15-13, 15-11 in the Community Games Sepak Takraw tournament. Leading the Cashew team was Muhd Hadi, 19, a student at ITE Choa Chu Kang.
Registration for the Community Games is now open. The Community Games will feature seven sports — badminton, basketball, bowling, football, netball, sepak takraw and table tennis.
The multi-sports competition will be held once every two years and the 2012 edition will pit community teams against each other in 10 sports — Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Bowling, Dragon Boat, Football, Netball, Sepak Takraw, Swimming and Table Tennis.
Singapore start Day 9 fifth on the medal tally with 33 gold, 38 silver and 61 bronze medals.
