Team Singapore won their second gold medal of the 19th Commonwealth Games in the space of four hours when shooters Aqilah Bte Sudhir and Jasmine Ser finished first in the women's 50 metres Rifle 3 position pairs final. They scored 1149 points to break the Games record of 1143.
Gai Bin and Nigel Lim amassed 1094 points to win Singapore's first Commonwealth gold medal in the men's pairs 50m Pistol final. They beat the Indian pair of Omakr Singh and Deepak Sharma by seven points.
The 18-year-old National Junior College student had qualified in sixth place with a score of 393, but slipped one place after scoring 100.2 points in the final.
