So SingTel has won the right to air the English Premier League on mio TV in August 2010. Incumbent StarHub is staring at a financial black hole, especially since ESPN Star Sports is also walking out the door next year as well into the loving arms of SingTel (for a nice fat fee, no doubt).

SingTel have beaten out the the bid from StarHub for the English Premier League broadcast rights. SingTel will air the EPL from August 2010.
Speculations of a joint-bid between SingTel and StarHub for the broadcast rights to the EPL from August 2010 to May 2013 ended as it was announced this week that the two telcos will launch separate bids.
