Despite clocking fast times in the 50m freestyle and 100m butterfly, Quah Ting Wen was still short of meeting the Olympic 'A' qualification timings.

Lionel Khoo broke the national record in the 100m breaststroke with a time of 1:02.26 – in the process meeting the Olympic 'B' timing – while three other men's meet records were rewritten.

The Quah siblings, Ting Wen and Jing Wen, headine a day where five women's meet records were broken at the Singapura Finance 47th Singapore National Age Group Swimming Championships.

Glen Lim, 13, broke the national under-14 record for the 400m freestyle while Jonathan Tan, Samuel Khoo, Lionel Khoo, Dylan Koo and Quah Zheng Wen also had meet records to their names.

Quah Ting Wen clocked 26.79 seconds in the 50m butterfly final, rewriting her personal best of 26.98s which she recorded in the heats just earlier in the day.

13-year-old Glen Lim set a new national under-14 record in the 1500m freestyle with a timing of 16:36.38, erasing his old mark of 16:39.73.

Ashley Lim, 11, maintained her perfect winning record at the meet with another outstanding performance in the 800m freestyle to clinch her 13th gold at the 2016 edition.
