SEA Games Track & Field: Dipna Lim Prasad cracks 43-year 400m national record; Michelle Sng ends high jump gold drought

Dipna clocked 54.18 seconds, erasing the previous mark of 55.08s that Chee Swee Lee set at the 1974 Asian Games in Tehran on her way to winning gold. Michelle was awarded the gold medal, along with Vietnam's Duong Thi Viet Ahn, after a successful appeal -- this was Singapore's first SEA Games gold in the women's high jump since 1965.

List of 569 Singapore athletes who will compete at 2017 SEA Games

Singapore will field its largest away contingent of 569 athletes for a Southeast Asian Games in Kuala Lumpur this August. The athletes will take part in 35 sports at the 29th SEA Games. Four sports – cricket, ice hockey, ice skating, and indoor hockey – will be contested for the first time at the Games.

IAAF World U18 Championships: Thiruben sets new national U18 mark in 400m

Thiruben Thana Rajan ran 47.91s in the 400m heats of the IAAF World U18 Championships to set a new national under-18 record, pending ratification from Singapore Athletics. The National Junior College student's time eclipsed Ng Chin Hui's old mark of 47.97s set in 2011. It also saw him rank joint-12th overall to qualify for the semi-finals, happening on July 13, 11.45pm Singapore time.

C Div 100m: Nanyang Girls’ Elizabeth-Ann Tan shatters 24-year record

Elizabeth ran 12.41 seconds, clocked with a tailwind of 0.1 metre/second to break Lim Joo Lee's C division hand-timed 12.6s record that was set in 1993. Teammate Bernice Liew claimed the silver in a personal best 12.72s. Both girls later combined to help Nanyang Girls' High School to gold in the 4 by 100 metres relay.
