Tan Chong Qi of Raffles Institution won the A Division Boys' 5000m in 16:53.68, getting the better of Isaac Tan of ACS(I) who had beaten him in the National Schools Cross Country Championships three weeks ago.
Her timing dipped under the previous electronically-timed championship record of 10:59.21, set by Hwa Chong Junior College alumna Pamela Chia in 2003.
Fang Yiyang of Commonwealth Secondary and Er Wen Han of Hwa Chong Institution came in second and third with timings of 9:50.79 and 0:51.38 respectively.
Kon Pei Ying of Hwa Chong Institution claimed her third National Schools high jump gold in a row when she cleared a personal best height of 1.59m to win the A Division Girls' event.
Ong Yi En (2.68m) of Cedar Girls' Secondary and Yap Fang Ling (2.53m) of CHIJ St. Nicholas Girls' School came in second and third.
Arfan B Azhar of Singapore Sports School won gold in the B Division Boys' triple jump with a personal best 13.46m leap. Ernest Ong (13.39m) and Brandon Lim (13.26m) of Hwa Chong Institution came in second and third.
Lee Pei En of CHIJ St Nicholas Girls' School was second in 09:14.31 while her teammate Jolene Tan was third in 09:27.41.
