Singapore’s Cheryl Chan and Eliza Ng finished seventh and eighth in the women's race, while Muhammad Shah Feroz and Colin Tung came in ninth and eleventh respectively in the men’s race.

Zubin had earlier clocked a season best time of 47.71s in the heats to be ranked third in a field of 10 while Goh Chui Ling bettered the personal best that she had set earlier in the year, clocking in at 57.48s.

Singapore's Ang Chen Xiang breaks his own National Record with a time of 14.38 seconds in the heats, while compatriots Jannah Wong and Nur Izlyn post 14.28 seconds and 16.95 seconds to finish sixth and seventh in the finals respectively.

The previous National Record of 3 minutes and 43.85 seconds was set back in 1974 at the Asian Games in Iran. Posting a time of 3 minutes and 40.58 seconds, the Singapore team smashed the record by a great margin.

Eliza Ng finished sixth in the women's race, while Raviin S/O Muthu Kumar and Fang Jianyong came in seventh and eighth in the men’s race.

Benny threw a distance of 44.40m, while Landdis could only manage a distance of 39.36m.

Rachel Yang vaulted herself to a new national record of 3.90m in the women's pole vault final, just three months after setting the previous record of 3.83m earlier in March.

However, Cheng Wei was unable to break his personal best of 21.57s that was set last year in September.
