Khan Meng Linn's pet event was the high jump. After an unexpected breakthrough performance in the long jump at his first competition after National Service, he made it his pet event instead and is now Singapore's no. 1.
When Nurul Jannah Binte Mohd Zulkifli, then 15 years old, competed in the long jump at the 2007 International Children's Games in Iceland, a 5.68m effort not only earned the then Singapore Sports School student a personal best, but also ownership of the national age-group records for under-17, under-19, and under-23 girls, and the national youth record.
The Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) has released the list of athletes representing Singapore at the upcoming 28th SEA Games. There will be a total of 748 athletes and 230 officials representing 36 sports from Singapore.
In second place was Ban Chen Hong of VS in 11.84s while third went to Raeshon Lee from SSP who finished the race in 11.88s.
HCI completed the race in 3:31.15 to clinch the silver medal, while Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) bagged the bronze medal with a timing of 3:34.04.
While HCI had the obvious lead throughout the race, the first runners-up were only decided in the final metre.
