A Division Girls’ Volleyball: Nanyang JC dethrone defending champions Hwa Chong Institution to win final after one year hiatus

Nanyang Junior College (NYJC) have emerged as champions of the A Division Girls' Volleyball Championship after they dethroned defending champion Hwa Chong Institution (HCI) 3-0 (25-17, 25-22, 25-7) at the championship final. Having beaten HCI once in the quarter-finals, NYJC repeated this feat of felling the "All-Star team" to earn honours for 2011 as well as prevent HCI from achieving 'double champions' in the A Division.

Defending champions Hwa Chong Institution saw off Anglo-Chinese Junior College 3-0 (25-14, 25-23, 25-17) to book a spot in the final of the A Division Girls' Volleyball Championship. In the other semi-final, Nanyang JC swept aside Victoria JC 3-0 (25-8, 26-24, 25-16) to set up a mouthwatering clash with the defending champions.

A Division Boys’ Volleyball: Hwa Chong Institution bounce back from brink of defeat to overcome Nanyang JC in semi-finals

There will be no replay of last year's final. Defending champions Hwa Chong Institution came back from the brink of defeat to edge out Nanyang Junior College 3-2 (24-26, 25-15, 23-25, 25-18, 15-12) in a five-set thriller at the A Division Boys' Volleyball semi-final.
