Thailand' were helpless as Singapore trounced them 17–2 in their campaign to win a 26th consecutive water polo gold medal in the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games.
Defending champions Singapore beat Malaysia 19-4 in their first game to move a step closer towards securing their 26th SEA Games gold medal.
Goalkeeper Eunice Fu was in fine form, saving three penalty shots while making numerous saves at timely moments in the match as Singapore defeated Indonesia 7-4. Denise Chew and Adelyn Yew both scored a brace each as Singapore ensured their gold-medal target is kept on track.
The Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC) has released the list of athletes representing Singapore at the upcoming 28th SEA Games. There will be a total of 748 athletes and 230 officials representing 36 sports from Singapore.
Glen (#6) of ACJC led the scoring with three goals while Isa (#2) registered two goals. Daren Ong (#9) of RI managed to put in two goals for his team.
Rachel Ezekiel (#2) and Priscilla Ong (#10) led with hat-tricks, while Celine Mark (#9) paced her team with two goals.
