A group of 18 children aged 4 to 12 got the chance to learn basic basketball skills in a fun way at a two-day ActiveSG introductory basketball camp.
During the five-day camp, participants were introduced to the various basic techniques and elements of four different sports – football, basketball, floorball and board games.
Under the social skating programme, a group of youths aged 6 to 14 gathered at Jurong West Sports Centre for two hours of unassisted skating through the urban landscape.
Under the badminton interest programme by ActiveSG, participants get the opportunity to enjoy the sport in a safe and non-competitive environment.
The final of a series of ActiveSG Sports Festivals will be held on June 7, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., at Jalan Besar Sports Centre.
The opening ceremony of the 2014 Singapore Youth Olympic Festival was officiated by Mr Ng Ser Miang, Chairman of the Singapore Olympic Foundation.
The second ActiveSG Sports Festival will be held at Woodlands Sports Centre on Saturday, May 31, 2014, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
