ActiveSG bring Sports Festival to Jurong East

Mothers each received a stalk of flower at the Open House, which was themed "Meet the Super Heroes".
Members of the community were present at the ActiveSG Launch and Open House as both participants and volunteers.
Mr Lawrence Wong, Acting Minister for Culture, Community and Youth, officiated the launch and announced the implementation of the new ActiveSG membership.
Every registered ActiveSG member will receive 100 ActiveSG dollars, which will be credited to their membership account.
Conventional public sports centres will soon include new facilities such as poolside gyms, and new activities such as piloxing and masala bhangra.
Under the basketball interest programme by ActiveSG, adults aged 18 and above get the opportunity to enjoy the game of basketball in a safe and non-competitive environment.
Athletes who are working adults and who train full-time for nine to 12 months can get a grant of up to $2,500 per month.
