Francis Fong of Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) set a new meet record of 27.68 seconds during the heats. He clocked 27.81s in the final to claim gold.
Gerald Chua of Anglo-Chinese Junior College came in over 17 seconds after Zheng Wen to clinch silver, while Joshua Koh of Raffles Institution finished third in 2:27.59.
Singapore Sports School’s Ryan Wee came in five seconds later to clinch second in a new personal best of 2:13.97, while Raffles Institution’s Jerome Sunil Kwang was third with 2:16.77.
Over the period of two weeks, 16 meet records were rewritten at the 55th National Inter-School Track & Field Championships.
Singapore Sports School came in second in a time of 3:44.69, while Hwa Chong Institution clinched bronze in 3:46.28.
Heng Yu Jie was just 0.16s behind Shohib in second place, while Joshua Nga placed third in 4:25.19.
Dylan Tan of Hwa Chong Institution came in second in 4:32.41, while Catholic High's Chester Lee ran a 4:32.61 to finish third.
