ASEAN Football Championship: Lasers distract Indonesia as they go down 3-0 to Malaysia in first leg final

Malaysia beat favourites Indonesia 3-0 with a three-goal blitz in 12 minutes in the final of the ASEAN Football Championship (AFF Suzuki Cup). However, the game was shrouded in controversy as laser pointers aimed at the Indonesia players forced the referee to stop the game for five minutes in the second half.

ASEAN Football Championship: Philippines qualify for semis but have no home stadium to play in

The Philippines qualified for the semi-finals of the ASEAN Football Championship (AFF Suzuki Cup) for the first time ever when they drew 0-0 with Myanmar to finish second in Group B. The Philippines are surprise qualifiers at the expense of favourites Singapore who finished third. The Philippines drew 1-1 with Singapore and then followed it up with a 2-0 upset win over home team Vietnam.
