Nanyang Girls’ High, Methodist Girls’ School, Bukit Panjang Government High and River Valley High all registered their second consecutive wins in Round 2 of the West Zone C Division Netball Championship.
All the teams that finished top of their Round 1 groups continued their dominance in Round 2 of the West Zone B Division Netball Championship.
Defending champions Shuqun Secondary swept aside Bukit Panjang Government High 2-0 (25-18, 25-11) to retain their crown at the West Zone B Division Boys' Volleyball Championship Final.
River Valley High upset Methodist Girls' School 28-12 to qualify for Round 2 of the West Zone B Division Netball Championship. The loss cost MGS a place in Round 2.
Shuqun Secondary booked a place in the West Zone B Division Boys' Volleyball Championship after seeing off Clementi Town Secondary 2-0 (25-21, 25-18) at the semi-finals. Bukit Panjang Government High also earned a spot after beating Hwa Chong Institution 2-0 (25-18, 25-18).
The West Zone B Division Girls' Volleyball Championship saw their biggest casualty to date after Bukit Panjang Government High were knocked out of the tournament following a 2-0 (29-27, 26-24) defeat to Jurong Secondary.
