Choa Chu Kang Sports Hall, Thursday, February 16, 2012 -- Clementi Town Secondary came back from one set down to see off Hwa Chong Institution 2-1 (19-25, 25-15, 25-12) at the 3rd/4th placing match at the West Zone B Division Boys' Volleyball Championship.
Shuqun Secondary booked a place in the West Zone B Division Boys' Volleyball Championship after seeing off Clementi Town Secondary 2-0 (25-21, 25-18) at the semi-finals. Bukit Panjang Government High also earned a spot after beating Hwa Chong Institution 2-0 (25-18, 25-18).
Nanyang Girls’ High stood out with a 102-0 win over Chestnut Drive Scondary in Group C of the West Zone B Division Netball Championship.
The seeded teams for the West Zone C Division Netball Championship showed their might in their respective groups.
This has been an eventful tournament, with traditionally strong teams like Xinmin and Jurong Secondary bowing out in the previous round, after registering convincing wins in the preliminary round. It is clear that with the new knockout format, anything is possible.
Clementi Town Secondary beat Shuqun Secondary 2-0 in their final first round match of the West Zone C Division Volleyball Championship to ensure that they qualified for the semi-finals at the expense of favourites Shuqun.
