CHIJ St. Theresa’s Convent came out on top against Methodist Girls' School in the National C Division Softball Championship, taking the game 11–3.
In the same event, Tan Jing-E of Methodist Girls' School set a national under-14 record when she swam the 50m backstroke leg in 30.39 seconds.
Christie Chue of CHIJ Katong Convent clinched first with a new meet record of 27.13 seconds. Chan Zi Yi of Methodist Girls’ School clinched silver in 27.75 seconds, while Kimberly Ong of Singapore Sports School finished third in 27.96 seconds.
Tan Jing-E of Methodist Girls' School set a new meet record of 2:23.17. Daphne Tan of Raffles Girls’ School was second with 2:29.34, while Genevieve Lye of MGS came in third in 2:30.96.
Daphne Tan and Elizabeth Lee, both of Raffles Girls School, made up the rest of the podium.
MGS, who were undefeated throughout the season, had also beaten CHIJ 39–18 in the first round.
